Connecting

The Institute for Artists’ Estates is the platform for connecting with all those interested in and involved with artist estates.

We are aware of how important it is to learn from the experiences of others whilst interacting with like-minded peers. Therefore we bring together families and artist’s estate managers on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to share their knowledge and to help each other. Our biannual conferences are conceived to foster the exchange of experiences and networking between artists, their heirs and those entrusted with managing artists’ estates on a broader level and to provide examples of best practice.

The last conference presented the work of successful estates and focussed on the different phases of estate management, together with strategies for dealing with museums and archives, amongst other issues.
